EVENT - YOUNG ENTERPRISING WOMEN IN AFRICA MONTHLY MEET AND GREET

With the current rise in the number of depressed people and suicidal rate all over the world, from statistics. It is important that we as humans cultivate a healthy lifestyle of being Happy, because according to Happiness and Life Coach; Mrs Tosin Doherty, HAPPINESS IS AN INSIDE JOB.

Over the weekend, the Young enterprising women in Africa; YEWA held her monthly meet and greet
for the month of September 2018 on the 22nd, it was a private round table meetup and brainstorming session for female Entrepreneurs at Southern Sun hotel Ikoyi, Lagos Nigeria, where Mrs Tosin Doherty gave us in attendance a meaningful and deep insight to Happiness and Living. Here are 10 Lessons I picked from that session and I have decided to share;
L-R Nnena, Uju, Mrs Tosin, Chidinma, Isioma.

- Happiness gives long life and helps people recover faster.

- Happiness attracts positivity and the right people, happiness makes you attractive.

- Have a Gratitude journal where you write and count things you are greatful for and always smile and laugh for no reason, it is healing.

- Do you! Do not use anyone's life as a yardstick to measure yours, Do you so beautifully well at your own pace, enjoy what you do and enjoy every stage of your life.

- When you feel stressed or angry at anything, just indulge by doing what you love, which can be writing, styling, decorating, reading, listening to music, going out, better still smiling and laughing in the face of adversity.

- Always learn to pause, don't react immediately.

- When people try to take advantage of your generosity, know when to draw the line and say no, if you can't give money, give advice! Or empower them rather than always give money, so you don't run dry too.

- Learn a new skill; this will help distract you from any depressing situation, you will meet new people and you will add to your Knowledge.

- For every negative word said, you need 5 positive words to erase a negative word. Stay away from negative people with negative energy, because positive energy is more powerful and brings happiness, and happy people are highly productive people.

- And here comes my favourite part; Try new things like - Traveling, Going on a blindate ( I must try this 😁) N.B - Not all men are husband material, you can only enjoy the moment, date a few and marry only one, choose carefully your husband.

L-R Nnena, Uju, Mrs Tosin, Chidinma and Success.

I also learned the act of meditation from Chidinma at the meet and greet and I will be trying it out this morning with the latest song on repeat on my playlist - Ocean by Hillsong.
Truly happiness is an inside job. Share with me in the comment section, what makes you happy?
