MONDAY RANDOM - 3 LESSONS TO LEARN FROM BONANG MATHEBA AND THE 6 TIMES SHE SLAYED AT THE #MTVMAMA2016

Just 24hours to the #MTVMAMA2016 Awards, an award to celebrate musical talent in Africa, I heard South African Media Personality and Style icon Bonang Matheba was going to host the event! And I thought to myself, what happened to the initial host fine face Trevor Noah? But that's not my issue. I was happy, because with Bonang M, the stage will be Lit with her Style Slay game! then again I thought isn't the time notice too short? How will she pull through? The d day came, she stepped on stage then wowed us with her style and her talent! I realized and appreciated the fact that she was born ready! Here are the 3 things you should learn from Bonang.

1. Be Skilled at your craft - Whatever your hand finds to do, do it well and the bucks will come. Have you ever wondered why she was the last minute pick to become the host? Can you be called on to save the day? What will you be known and remembered for? If there is anything you know about Bonang, it is that she is a perfectionist at Slaying Fashionably, she is hardworking and delivers her role as a Host excellently well. She is intentional in doing. What are you skilled at? Show me a man who is skilled and with talent, for he will stand in the presence of kings!

2. Never be caught unaware - Always be ready! Plan! Prepare! And  Execute whenever you are called upon.
I always practice in front of the mirror every morning, what I will say when I get to start hosting shows or what I will say when I am on CNN African Startups lol! (that is intentional living not madness as my mum will think) my mum will say life is a stage, where God is the author and you get your script not before life event but on life, Yet she still says planning well and now is planning for the future. Bonang executed her role  well on that stage within 24hours of notice to be host of the MTV MAMA 2016 not just because she is a TV and Radio Host, but bcause she is ever ready! She is passionate about what she does. she was fluent in pronouncing the names of the artist at the MAMAs and she blended well with other co host. Will you be able to defend that business plan of yours anytime of the day or when woken from sleep? How ready are you?

3. Make use of every opportunity - Richard Branson once said, "If Someone offers you an opportunity, and you are not sure you can do it, say yes then learn how to do it later"  Put your talent to use when called upon, give it your best. Bonang would have given excuses such as - I didn't get the time to prepare, why should I be second choice to Trevor? If I am correct to say, what she must have thought was - this is my opportunity to shine! This is a huge event and the world is watching! Chosen to replace Trevor Noah is a huge shoe and I will fit into it perfectly well!
