FITNESS - FITNESS IS THE NEW LIFESTYLE / MY WORKOUT ROUTINE

Happy new month and happy weekend peeps may this month be a November to remember for good. My weekend started out very well, I and my home girl went to see the movie WHEN LOVE HAPPENS, it’s a Nigerian Romantic Comedy, watch this space for the review. It’s a fantastic movie I must say.
I have been practicing and trying to live a healthy lifestyle, which has made me decide to go Natural with my hair, add more vegetables and fruit to my diet and workout exercises. So of recent I have been getting positive feedback concerning my physique and someone asked me “what is your workout routine” I thought about it, decided to share my workout routine, Need I say that I am not a gym rat or fitness instructor, am just sharing what works for me. I contacted a very good friend of mine Kizito Alex who is a Fitness freak and a Gym rat to explain WHAT FITNESS IS.

FITNESS is not a destination but a lifestyle, that involves your daily activities from when you wake up, how you exercise, what you eat, how you manage stress and how well you sleep at night.
To achieve a top fitness lifestyle, it involves discipline, determination and strong commitment to healthy living. You must have an exercise regiment that works for you, at least try not to go three days without exercise.
For the purpose of clarification, I'll break it down in 4 topics-
Exercise
Diet
Lifestyle/habit
Safety

WATCH THIS SPACE AS MY GUEST FITNESS INSTRUCTOR KIZITO ALEX CONTINUES TO ELABORATE ON THE HIGHLIGHTED TOPICS.

MY WORKOUT ROUTINE includes Squats, Side leg raise, The Lunge, Crunch, plank, hugging and leg raise. I do 10 reps 5 set of each which calculates as 50 repetition. I workout at home, follow a lot of fitness freaks on instagram and I download a lot of workout videos .I plan to push myself more, add other workout styles and register at a Gym to make use of their equipments as time goes on. Stay tuned to the fitness segment of ETHNIQUES BLOG for how to practically do this exercises. Remember to start gradually at your own pace and add more reps if your usual reps has stopped crushing you. If its crushing, its working. I like to work out wit a mirror in front of me and good music playing at the background.
For Starters: If your new to exercising and workouts, see your physician before engaging in any exercise especially if you have health issues to check your heart rate and your pulse. If your following an exercise video, remember you don't have to be the person in the video, all you need is to learn the techniques and what workout works for what part of your body, then workout at your own pace. Add more reps if your usual start up reps has stopped hurting you.

STYLE CRUSH- IRO N BUBA BY ONYI ANAX

Nobody can rock Iro n Buba more than my style crush for this week. Good day lovelies. Iro n Buba popularly known as Iro ati’ Buba in Yoruba, originated from the yorubas in Nigeria West Africa and was adopted by many tribes in Nigeria, it was popularly worn by our mothers, but our generation who knows how to revamp fashion has brought back the trend- OLEKU (the short and trendy version of Iro n Buba) and we are giving our grannies a run for their fashion style. Onyi Anax is my style crush for this week; she is an experienced fashion designer in the heart land of lagos
