PHOTO OF THE DAY - 2016 BEST NINE BY ÀSÌKÒ

So the year 2016 is wrapping up in a few hours, and everyone is chanting the New year resolution mantra, giving notes, quotes and epilogues, with the popular one on Instagram #2016BestNine . These notes with artistic pictures from Asiko, a London based, Nigerian photographer took the words out of my mouth, it is practically some of what I learnt in 2016. *You know I love me some deep, artistic, beautiful, storytelling work of arts* So I had to share.

@Asiko_artist What I learnt in 2016 1. Be patient and job st keep creating 2. You are responsible for your happiness 3. Working projects is a more fulfilling way to build a portfolio and a lasting legacy, random one off shoots are out. 4. Collaboration with the right people, are beautiful things to be treasured. 5. The work you put out are like messages in a bottle, you never know how they will come back to you, but they will in ways you never expect. Releasing 2016 and opening my heart and arms to 2017, it is going to be an amazing one. My nine…

TIPS - 3 TIPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL FAMILY CHRISTMAS PHOTOSHOOT & THE FAMILY CHRISTMAS PHOTOS THAT ROCKED IN 2016

Compliments of the season! Hope you are all having a nice time and anticipating the beginning of a wonderful year 2017! So two Christmas ago, my family tried to get a Christmas photoshoot done, after we have seen beautiful ones from the Yobos and the Kadarshians, my Mum is now turning "new School" we agreed as a family, got our outfits ready, chose our colors and contacted our photographer, it was a time to also have a full family portrait together as adults before more responsibilities like marriage, traveling out and growing up sets in. The day came, and we never went through with it. Reason; The timing was wrong! We had lots of visitors trooping in 😥 Dad chose 25th of December! Who does that? I couldn't object as the planner that I am, I had to work with the date, since he had his job and other responsibilities. I will one day share excerpts from our Family Christmas photoshoot gone wrong.
So with that I contacted families I love their christmas photoshoot and here …

STYLE - CHRISTMAS IN A RED SHIFT DRESS

Still in the spirit of Christmas, I say Merry Christmas to you lovelies! Early this month of December, the colour red was in high demand, and in frequent use. Event decorators, Fashion enthusiasts, Graphic designers were all in tune with the colour for Christmas, the basic colours are; Red, Green and White. I recently got an @AXParis Red Shift dress online, in anticipation for my Family Christmas themed photoshoot, which didn't even hold as planned, reason will be in my next blog post.
So I decided to rock my Shift dress to a picnic in my home town and play Santa Claus in Red just because that's the colour for the season. ShiftDresses and ShirtDress are now becoming my go to outfit,  they are Comfortable, Chic and shows a decent amount of Skin.

What did you wear for Christmas? What are your thoughts on seeing the color red everywhere, are you tired of it or will you indulge like me too?
